Inspection, pick and place, sorting, vision systems, etc.Program and setup robotic arms, and controllers.Design, setup, retrofit automation control systems using PLCs.Design basic tools and processes to automate existing manual manufacturing steps.Learn and provide support on existing automated manufacturing systems of small electromechanical devices.Develop and document existing, or new manufacturing processes in detailed written procedures and production operation sheets. Create/ revise data sheets, drawings and specifications as required.Help new engineers and train production personnel when applicable.Work with quality assurance, production, purchasing, and sales/manufacturing personnel to maintain product quality and sales objectives.Work with tool room personnel to develop tools and components assembly processes and stems.Follow standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data.Qualifications:Requires a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, or Industrial Engineering.Should have at least three (3) years of previous experience with automated systems, robot arms, vision, PLC's or other controls.Knowledge of manufacturing of precision electro-mechanical components or similar products. Knowledge of miniature resistance welding and plating processes is a plus.Requires a high degree of creative ability, engineering skill, interpersonal skills and independent judgment. Work on assignments normally requiring broad theoretical knowledge. Hands-on manufacturing skills in assembling and testing precision electromechanical components is preferred. Keen and disciplined analytical skills to analyze problems and able to employ applied engineering methods to real world manufacturing problems. Solve production and field issues, implement solutions in a structured and timely manner. Ability to conceive and design tools and processes to increase product quality and reliability. Good verbal and written communication skills to prepare clear and concise written production procedures and process flows.
