The 5C team is growing following the launch of its first investment vehicle and on its way to developing several private fund complexes and other credit investment opportunities.5C Investment Partners is seeking a Vice President, Human Resources who will be responsible for all areas of the human resources function, spanning across the entirety of the employee lifecycle. They will continue the design and implementation of scalable people practices that support our fast growth, while also rolling up their sleeves to deliver frontline HR support to the business. Reporting to our Chief Operating Officer and based at our New York City headquarters, the Vice President, Human Resources will shape the big picture people strategy, in close partnership with our executive team, while remaining accountable for ensuring day-to-day operations of HR are addressed. They will oversee and manage the relationship and engagement of our Professional Employer Organization (PEO).Job Responsibilities Strategic HR Leadership: Own and execute the HR strategy in alignment with the company's goals and growth objectives, partnering with senior leadership to shape the organization's culture and talent roadmap, while designing scalable structures as business needs evolve.HR Operations & Administration: Accountable for ensuring all day-to-day human resources activities and responsibilities are supported and executed, including oversight and coordination with our Professional Employer Organization (PEO). Manage and maintain HR budget and operating plan.Compensation: Own compensation across the talent lifecycle, including talent acquisition, our annual compensation cycles, administration of incentive programs, and providing ongoing education and support to employee. Responsible for the development and implementation of our compensation philosophy, policies, and practices.Benefits & Payroll: Oversee employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, and other perks, which are currently delivered and administered by our PEO. Administer payroll and time tracking for employees and contingent workers.Employee Relations and Compliance: Ensure adherence to all employment laws and regulations, as well as compliance as an SEC registered investment advisor. Be a business partner to the organization and act as an advisor on employee relations matters.Talent Acquisition: Oversee the recruitment and onboarding process to attract and retain top talent, including developing recruitment strategies, managing relationships with agency search firms, developing offer strategies and creating employment agreements, and facilitating the new hire process and orientation. Manage headcount forecasting and budgeting as part of the corporate operational planning and budgeting process.Talent Management: Lead the performance management and development process, including goal setting, feedback, and evaluation processes. Design and implement leadership programs, career paths, career development planning, and map talent strategies to support business growth.Employee Engagement and Culture Development: Implement initiatives to foster a high-performance and inclusive work culture, driving employee engagement and retention. Develop and drive initiatives around DEI, ensuring they are integrated into the talent lifecycle and an inclusive workplace; tracking and reporting on DEI metrics to measure progress.AdministrationSupport administration functions such as facilities management and Vendor Monitoring, among others.Experience/Skills Required8-15 years HR/People roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership position, in Private Credit, Alternative Investments, or related financial services organization.Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth startup is preferred.Experience shaping big-picture strategy and rolling up your sleeves to execute.A hands-on HR leader with knowledge of all aspects of HR, including compensation, benefits, HR business partnering, HR administration and operations, talent acquisition, performance management, L&D, and DEI.Deep experience in private investing compensation plans, with a strong understanding of administering incentive programs with equity and/or carried interest.Expertise in labor law and HR best practices, with the ability to apply them in a dynamic work environment.Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster a positive, inclusive culture and ability to influence at all levels of the organization.Strong problem-solving abilities, with experience in managing change and organizational growth.Experience partnering with a Professional Employer Organization (PEO), and specifically TriNet, is a plus.Personal Attributes:A strategic thinker who can build and implement scalable processes yet is comfortable wearing many hats in a lean environment.Comfort toggling between strategic work and execution.Ability to manage multiple priorities and ambiguous situations while remaining results oriented.Adaptable problem solver: flexible to whatever the business needs, proactive problem solving, ability to act as a player/coach.Highly organized, attention to detail and excellent follow-through required.Thinks multiple steps ahead; prepares for potential problems and escalates issues when appropriate.Passion for fostering an engaged, inclusive, and high-performing workplace.Base Salary Range:The expected base salary for this position is $275,000 - 350,000 commensurate with experience and/or qualifications, industry knowledge and expertise, as well as prior training and education. Employees will be eligible for discretionary bonus or incentives based on factors such as individual and team performance. 5C also offers robust Benefits offerings.
