Network Development Engineer needed for a long term contract opportunity with SOC's client to work onsite in McLean, VA.Must possess and active TS/SCI w/CI Poly minimumContract Length: 3 year program w/extension If you enjoy working with new technologies, enterprise leading equipment, and seek to secure and maintain compliance, we would like to speak to you. This position will play a key role in meeting critical compliance and security baselines of next generation infrastructure to support AI workloads.You will join a diverse team of platform engineers to design, deploy, maintain, and secure platform infrastructure. You will collaborate with people inside and outside of the organization to deliver the highest standards for building, deploying, and securing infrastructure.Key Responsibilities:Network Development Engineers perform high quality network and system operations, deployments, scaling, technology refresh, sustain engineering, best practices applications, optimization, internal/external customer interactions, and produce appropriate technical documentation.Responsibilities:Create and implement changes on the network through automationDeliver simple sustainable and repeatable solutions and processesOperate and trouble shoot network routing, interconnectivity, platforms, performance, and configuration issues: including low level application interaction, Linux systems, and next gen networking software toolsMaintain standards across the networking toolset and ensure that we are fully compliant to those standards and policiesDrive and support innovation from Top of Rack to the Network Border and everything in betweenWork closely with the Network Architect to ensure fast. Smooth roll out of new designs and products. As well as assist with deployment and sustaining of network infrastructure and toolingProficient in with Python or Go programming languageExperience with automation frameworks, specifically Ansible. To write scripts and automate network configurationsKnowledge or experience of OpenShift Kubernetes Container Network Interface (CNI) to interact with different network plugins and manage pod networkingService to service authentication.
