Senior Electrical Engineer - Spacecraft AvionicsLos AngelesWorking for one of the most exciting New Space start-up companies around you will help Lead the Design, Development, Integration, and Testing of Avionics Hardware & Systems.You will be assisting with the Design and Implementation of high performance, high reliability Avionics and Electrical Systems including Harnessing, batteries and Power Systems, Sensors, Mechanisms, Navigation, Safety Systems, and Flight Computers on demanding timelines.You will also be on the frontlines of Implementation, collaborating with the team to understand customer requirements and feed those into Vehicle and Architecture Design.Responsibilities:Design, develop, build, and test avionics systems.Drive rapid execution and iteration efforts that put hardware in orbit quicklyFoster technical excellence and ownership within the Avionics engineering team by mentoring new team members and setting a high standard for delivering resultsDesign avionics systems that meet company and mission goals and provide new capabilities for the in-space economyNegotiate requirements by having a deep understanding of the company and mission objectives and providing alternative solutionsImplement test plans consistent with the risk posture of the mission and own the outcome of test campaignsConduct design reviews, test readiness reviews, and flight readiness reviews with a heavy emphasis on technical excellenceQualificationsBachelor's degree in engineering or science discipline3+ years of experience designing complex electrical and/or control systems that operate in harsh environments (autonomous vehicles, drones, spacecraft, etc.)Capable of maintaining flexibility in direction under changing circumstancesTrack record of delivering novel, excellent technical productsExperience managing analysis products and incorporating their feedback into designIf you are interested in this position then please apply today.
