Job SummaryOne of our clients in the greater Boston area is looking for a Director of Human Resources. This position serves as both a tactical and strategic business partner in several key human resources related functional disciplines (Talent Acquisition/Retention, Employee Relations, Compensation/Benefits, Organizational and Program design, Employee Experience, Compliance, HR Administration, Performance Management, Departures, Development and Training). This is a hands-on role; working with people at all levels of the organization and in all locations. The Director of HR originates and leads Human Resources practices and objectives across the company. It is expected that this role will engage and inspire the HR professionals on the team to perform their best. This role serves as advisory to both executive and company leadership on how to create and maintain an employee-oriented; high performance culture that embodies the company's core values. The Director leads strategic projects and initiatives and ensures metrics are in place to measure HR's overall contribution to the company's growing business.ResponsibilitiesBuild a best-in-class HR function to support the business. Build an effective and functional HR organizational chart that is cost effective and sustainable with the company's growth.Engage and inspire the HR team to perform their best - identify top talent and encourage growth.Lead cultural change by offering creative solutions to people and culture related issues.Work with all groups to translate business strategies and objectives into the appropriate HR actions.Act as advisor and counselor to company leaders around employee relations issues.Develop and revise HR policies and procedures that are consistent with a positive employee experience, are in line with corporate objectives, and maintain legal integrity.Manage compensation programs to ensure market competitiveness and compliance with all regulations. Partner with Payroll/Benefits team and benefit's broker on ensuring the right benefit plan offerings, communications and participation.Partner with the Payroll/Benefits team to develop SOPs around HR administration, reporting automation and processing efficiencies.Develop and implement a valuable performance review process and cycle in accordance with current trends and industry best practices.Manage high level ethics around employee relations investigations and partnering with Legal Counsel as needed.Implement and manage compliance efforts with federal, state and local laws and regulations relating to all aspects of the employee life cycle.Develop leadership development, career development, and organizational development programs and strategies including succession planning.Partner with operational leadership on the tracking and deployment of operational required training. Oversee the Training Coordinator and assist with the selection, implementation and ongoing development of a Learning Management System.
