The Financial Analyst will report to the Capital Markets Associate with supervision from the Managing Director of Capital Markets and Director of Investments.QUALIFICATIONS:Education Bachelor's degree in real estate, business, finance, or accounting (required).1-2+ years of work experience or internship in real estate lending, investment banking, real estate brokerage, development, or real estate private equity.Proficiency in creating complex financial models for real estate financial analysis using Excel, including knowledge of advanced Excel functions.Strong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail, including an understanding of real estate finance and investment return metrics (i.e. discounted cash flows, cap rates, leveraged and unleveraged IRR, yield on cost, etc.)Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to underwrite and analyze investment opportunities.Strong knowledge of both debt and equity capital markets and investment structures.ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Financial Analyst will help prepare financial models and analysis on prospective property acquisitions and development opportunities including market analysis, lease analysis, budget creation, and return on investment analysis including joint venture waterfall analysis.Financial Analyst will help produce internal memos for deal evaluation and participate with principals in meetings to consider potential acquisition and development opportunities.Financial Analyst will help produce marketing materials and presentations to prospective institutional investors and lenders.Financial Analyst will be responsible for conducting general market research and comparable studies to provide support for underwriting and financial analysis including interfacing with brokers to obtain information.Financial Analyst will work closely with the Capital Markets team to maintain the internal database systems related to both existing and potential debt and equity capital sources and assist in preparing quarterly investment reports and distributing tax documents.Financial Analyst will work closely with Asset Management and Property Management teams to prepare multifamily leasing reports and analyses.Financial Analyst will work closely with Asset Management and Brokerage teams to prepare lease analyses, track office and retail tenant improvements and commissions, and provide rent roll analyses.
