DescriptionThis role is for Senior Quantitative User Researcher to help inform and influence AIML-powered technology and user experiences. An ideal candidate is experienced in conducting human-centered research and analysis with quantitative methods, is able to work autonomously and collaboratively, and has experience working with cross-functional teams. In this role you will:Work closely with engineers, PMs, designers, and data scientists to align on research goals and develop appropriate study designsInvestigate user experience and behavior using empirical methods such as surveys, longitudinal and experience-sampling studies, and log analysis; and apply state-of-the-art statistical methodsReport on your research and make recommendations to stakeholdersWork autonomously and mentor other researchers to support the goals of the research organizationMinimum Qualifications4+ years of experience in an applied research setting, or similar.Comfortable analyzing quantitative data, including data from longitudinal study designsExperience in programming languages used for data processing and computational statistics (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB, C++, Java, or Go)Experience with survey questionnaire design, sampling approaches and weightingAble to produce meaningful visualizations and reports of the data, and effectively present results to different audiences and across multiple media formatsAble to work independently as well as collaboratively with minimal directionOrganized, highly attentive to detail, and manages time wellExperience working in industryPreferred QualificationsAdvanced degree (MS/PhD) in human factors, human-computer interaction, social or behavioral science, data analytics, statistics, or any engineering or computer science fieldExperience with experience sampling/ecological momentary assessment techniquesUnderstanding of test development procedures and applied psychometric techniquesData science experience, especially with large, distributed data frameworks (e.g., Spark or Hadoop)Prior research experience on artificial intelligence or machine learningPrior research experience on improving personalized user experiences
