Location: Dublin, CAPosition Overview:Amber Semiconductor is seeking a talented and motivated Power Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in power electronics, circuit design, and simulation tools, and will be responsible for architecting, testing, and optimizing power management solutions that meet the demands of modern computing systems.Key Responsibilities:• Develop innovative power architectures for advanced computing systems including system design, packaging and control loops.• Conduct detailed analyses and simulations of power systems to validate performance against specifications.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including digital and analog mixed signal designers to define power requirements and ensure integration with overall system design.• Utilize tools such as Simplis, Simulink, and other circuit simulation software for modeling and analysis of power circuits.• Conduct in-depth performance testing and analysis of power ICs, including efficiency, thermal management, and transient response• Create comprehensive documentation, including IC architecture documentation along with application notes, datasheets, and design guides.• Develop test plans and execute validation testing for new power IC designs, documenting results and making recommendations for improvements.• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in power electronics and computing systems.Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field;Master's degree preferred.• 10+ years of experience in Applications / Systems Engineering with focus onComputing power• Strong understanding of power conversion, regulation, and management techniques including digital control loop design.• Proficiency in circuit design and simulation tools (e.g., Simplis, Simulink, PSpice).• Experience with PCB design and layout tools is a plus.• Experience with power solutions for CPUs including Intel & AMD• Proven track record with architecting power ICs• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented mindset.• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.Job Type: Full-timeSalary Range: $130,000-$180,000Offered Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, & EquityAmberSemi is an equal opportunity employer.
