This opportunity is to work for an rapidly growing food manufacturer that's transforming the industry with its groundbreaking approach to sustainable and ethical food production.This is an exciting time to come on board, as the company has recently secured a substantial $80M Series A funding. They have also entered into a major global sales and distribution partnership, poised to significantly boost their revenue.Your New RoleThe company is looking for a dynamic and hands-on VP of Finance. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will oversee the financial operations, implement robust financial strategies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Your role will be crucial in shaping the financial landscape, driving strategic decisions, and contributing to the company's ongoing success.Key Responsibilities:Develop and establish a top-tier finance function, including system implementations and accurate financial reporting.Oversee financial forecasting, budgeting, and modeling to support strategic planning and decision-making.Enhance financial data management to effectively track operational KPIs and departmental performance.Prepare monthly financial reports (including P&L, forecast vs. budget, cash flow, COGS, and R&D trials) for the executive team, investors, and other stakeholders.Collaborate with operations to support operational and strategic goals, including cross-functional projects, product development, marketing, and supply chain management.Ensure compliance with all regulatory and reporting requirements, including tax filings, audits, and internal controls.Standardize accounting and financial processes across the organization; lead the monthly accounting close and reporting process.Present financial performance updates and forecasts to the board and investors.Build and manage a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, growth, and collaboration.Oversee the development and analysis of COGS, ensuring cost optimization without compromising product quality.Work with operations and manufacturing teams to implement cost-effective production practices and improve resource allocation.Establish and monitor BOMs to accurately reflect production costs and drive profitability.Develop metrics and KPIs to track manufacturing efficiency, waste reduction, and overall production cost savings.Your ExperienceManufacturing experience is essentialBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.Proven experience in a finance leadership role within an early-stage companyStrong background in cost accounting, financial tracking, and data management.Experience with ERP system implementation and managing audits.Ability to build financial infrastructure and processes from the ground up.Hands-on approach with a willingness to be involved in day-to-day operations.Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with other leaders.
