Midsized powerhouse firm steeped in international banking and finance has an opportunity open for a motivated and experienced Financial Restructuring and Bankruptcy Associate to join their highly regarded practice group. A well trained associate with 4 and 7 years of Big Law or peer firm experience and demonstrated expertise in drafting and negotiating Debtor-in-Possession (DIP) financing documents, handling DIP financing and cash collateral motion practice, and providing strategic advice in complex Chapter 11 bankruptcy matters, is preferred.The Restructuring and Bankruptcy Associate will draft, review, and negotiate DIP financing agreements and related documents; Represent debtors, creditors, or other parties in interest in Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases, with a focus on financial restructuring and secured transactions; Collaborate with clients, financial advisors, and opposing counsel to develop and execute financing strategies in bankruptcy proceedings; Conduct legal research and analysis to provide clients with sound advice on bankruptcy law and related matters; Support senior attorneys and partners with complex financial restructuring projects and other bankruptcy-related assignments.Exceptional legal writing, negotiation, and analytical skills and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are preferred. Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and admission to practice in NY State required. Compensation includes salary ($275K-to-$350K poss.+) and a generous hours-based bonus, along with strong benefits package.J.
