By integrating these behaviors into our day-to-day operations, ACPNY strives to always create healthier futures for our patients.Summary of PositionLeads financial planning of short- and long-term business strategy for AdvantageCare Physicians, establishing business objectives and developing action plans to support the objectives. Develops annual budget for ACPNY practice; partnering with EmblemHealth leadership team to develop integrated delivery system budget. Produces revised forecasts based on the performance of, and changes to, these action plans. Responsible for ensuring that ACPNY corporate budget targets are met through strategy implementation and risk mitigation.Leads design and implementation of new AdvantageCare Physicians physician compensation strategy. Manages Finance staff responsible for administering existing compensation program to 400+ employed clinical providers. Includes calculation of semi-annual update of compensation, along with communication of detailed scorecards to all providers.Leads all AdvantageCare Physicians financial activities consistent with the corporate practice of medicine in a payor/provider management function. Develops comprehensive financial stability strategy for AdvantageCare Physicians. Partners to develop new integrated financial reporting (medical office P&Ls, primary care and specialty care specific scorecards) to support leadership, providers and staff.Promotes continued financial sustainability and long-term sustainability by ongoing assessment of strategic initiatives to ensure a sustainable, scalable, and cost-efficient operational infrastructure. Performs rigorous financial analysis to support short-term objectives and long-term strategic decision making.Identifies contracting opportunities with external specialty provider partners, to reduce Inpatient and Outpatient expenses for our patient population. Partners with internal and external Network Contracting partners to secure these opportunities.Leads procurement function and team, as well as corporate finance including accounting, tax, treasury, audit and internal controls. Leads oversight of payor portfolio balancing and re-contracting efforts, aiming to identify both income generation opportunities and expense reduction strategies, including financial structuring of new value-based arrangements and incentive programs. Represents AdvantageCare Physicians in discussions with external parties and negotiates for the company's best interests. Works with internal and external market intelligence partners to achieve improved reimbursement rates.DeliverablesMake significant contributions towards AdvantageCare Physicians short- and long-term business initiatives which include improving finances, driving profitable growth and meeting budget targets and Net Promoter Score performance. Identify, hire, & train team members, developing them into strong leaders and creating high-performing, self-directed teams. Effectively plan for succession, ensuring a talent pipeline.Act as change agent to drive and effect organizational change ensuring key deliverables are met. Requirements Bachelor's degree in finance, account or related field; Master's preferred12-15 years related experience in healthcare management requiredExperience working in a hospital organization, health care system and/or physician group requiredExcellent communication (verbal, written, and presentation) skills requiredStrong analytical skills required
