This involves coordinating resources, schedules, supplies, and enrichment opportunities, while maintaining appropriate staff-to-student ratios.Program Oversight and Quality AssuranceConducting daily site visits to assess program quality, ensuring compliance with all standards, and driving continuous improvement through data analysis and performance metrics. The Director oversees staff and site evaluations, manages inventory systems, and implements effective behavior management strategies.Leadership and Team ManagementLeading a diverse team by facilitating regular leadership meetings, ensuring task completion, fostering professional growth, and cultivating future leaders. Clear communication and role clarification are essential to maintain an effective team dynamic.Customer Relations and CommunicationBuilding strong partnerships with schools, districts, and families. The Director organizes community engagement events, oversees communication strategies like newsletters and messaging platforms, and represents the company at various educational meetings.Training and DevelopmentEnhancing and deploying comprehensive training programs tailored to the needs of different programs. This includes leading staff orientations, coordinating professional development days, and ensuring all staff are well-integrated and informed.ComplianceEnsuring all team members adhere to company, school, and district policies. The Director updates compliance materials in collaboration with HR, manages certification and training compliance, and drives initiatives to meet attendance targets.Additional ResponsibilitiesActing as the primary point of escalation for program-related issues, coordinating technology access, collaborating with other departments for seamless program execution, and ensuring all programs align with the company's mission and core values.Essential Qualifications and SkillsEducation and CertificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent; at least 48 completed college units or a paraeducator certificate; valid Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certification.ExperiencePrevious experience in education, coaching, or child development is required.Leadership and CommunicationStrong leadership qualities with excellent collaboration skills; effective verbal and written communication; ability to build positive relationships with administrators, staff, students, and parents.Organizational SkillsStrong attention to detail, ability to prioritize tasks, and efficient time management.Technical ProficiencyProficient with QuickBooks Time, Google Suite, MacOS, , Discord, and other office applications.Physical and Mental AbilitiesAbility to maintain constant physical activity, interact actively with children, navigate various terrains, manage stressful situations with professionalism, and communicate effectively through multiple mediums.The Director of Expanded Learning plays a crucial role in shaping the educational experiences of students by ensuring high-quality program delivery, fostering team excellence, and building strong community relationships.
