Sanctions Policy & Governance Specialist

Our Client, a Global Investment Bank, is seeking a Sanctions Policy & Governance Specialist in their New York, NY location. Responsibilities:Develop, validate, and communicate sanctions-related group and U.S. policies and desktop procedures.Draft and issue Sanctions Notices and Guidance Memos to clarify regulatory developments and sanctions topics.Oversee Financial Security governance, including the Sanctions Committee, special projects, and transversal topics.Partner with compliance counterparts to address sanctions-related laws, rules, regulations, and group policies.Engage regularly with management and department leaders on sanctions regulations and implementation.Represent U.S. sanctions regulations within the group to ensure alignment and understanding.Requirements:Exceptional written and oral communication and presentation skills.Working knowledge of banking products and services.Familiarity with project management principles.Ability to collaborate within a complex, multinational organization.Strong multitasking skills, with the ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.Minimum of 3+ years of experience in AML, sanctions, risk, or compliance within a financial institution, law firm, regulatory agency, consulting firm, or law enforcement.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Access, SharePoint (integrating with databases), PowerPoint, and advanced Excel functionality.Ability to work independently while demonstrating the firm's core values.
