Department Profile: The Finance Division reports to the Chief Financial Officer and consists of some 3,000 employees worldwide. Finance protects the bank franchise by serving as guardian of the Firm's books and records, and by contributing to firmwide risk management and risk reduction. This division maintains relationships with bank's various industry and government regulators, and also serves as the conduit of financial information to the outside investment community. Finance plays a critical role' as advisor to the bank's various businesses and its senior management team. Our employees support numerous activities such as Product Controllership, Profit & Loss (P&L) analysis, Regulatory Reporting, Digitization, Business Management and Capital requirements. Our Finance teams are currently seeking to engage with New York's leading talent. Our opportunities span across the global Finance organization, including Institutional Securities Group, Global Corporate Controllers, Treasury, and Investment and Wealth Management Finance teams.Team Profile: The Data Sourcing Team supports Finance though delivery of Data Souring and Systems Governance initiatives. The team delivers improved data quality for key regulatory implementations deliverables include data sourcing, data cataloging, lineage, controls identification, and issues management for a wide range of sales and trading products. The team's objective is to improve data quality in Finance Data Warehouse (FDW). This will enable the Finance Shared Services team complete FD'?s vision of ?"Source Once, Control Once, Adjust Once & Use Many." This is completed by working closely with Finance (Treasury, Capital, External Reporting), Technology, Risk and Operations.What you'll do in the role:-Data sourcing project delivery including business analysis and program management-Communicate and work alongside a diverse group of professionals in Finance and across the Firm including regular interaction with IT and team members across External Reporting, Capital, and Treasury-Partner with IT to deliver new data sourcing using Agile methodology-Work with clients and IT colleagues to document and prioritize business requirements-Identify strategic sources for new data-Deliver analysis and testing including reconciliations between legacy and new systems-Complete system dictionary, feed review, feed governance, and data control-Ensure upstream data is controlled via existing controls with data owners-Build effective presentations for senior management forums in relation to deliverablesWhat we offer:-Work in the Finance department of one of the world's best-in-class Financial Institutions and gain first-hand insight of our business-A desirable compensation and benefits package including eligibility for an annual bonus-Professional development opportunities including access to our outstanding internal trainings-Enriching challenges that provide opportunity for constant learning and advancement-An encouraging and vibrant diverse environment, we are inclusive of individual backgrounds and use them to cultivate our work environment and cultureWhat you?ll bring to the role:-Strong project management skills. Data sourcing and governance experience is a plus-Ability to identify trends and linkages across systems / teams-Understanding of financial products (e.g.: Options, Futures, etc.)-Analytical capabilities, including ability to summarize business problems and solutions-Strong written and verbal communication skills, and ability to adapt to your audience-A strong sense of organization and time management skills-Ability to understand intricate processes and identify potential opportunities for improvement-Proficient Microsoft Office skills with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint-Knowledge of Agile Project Management methodologies and Alteryx would be a plus
