Litigation Paralegal

Schenck, Price, Smith & King, LLP is seeking a paralegal with a minimum of 3 years' experience to support the insurance defense litigation group in its Paramus, New Jersey office. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Opening of filesDrafting initial correspondence to adjustersDrafting pleadingsDrafting discovery demandsDrafting responses to discoveryWorking with legal assistant to monitor discovery and file necessary motionsPreparing and serving HIPAA forms and calendaring for follow-upArranging independent medical examinationsReviewing, organizing and forwarding medical records for examining physiciansMaintaining insurance company guidelines in data management systemsCommunicating on behalf of attorneys to obtain information and following-up on assignmentsMaintaining digital filingSkills:Excellent verbal and written communication skillsDetail oriented and organizedExcellent writing and proofreading skillsAbility to multi-task and consistently meet deadlinesAbility to work independently and as a teamRequirements:3 years' experienceParalegal certification or related relevant job experienceBachelor's or Associate's degree a plus
