Company DescriptionDiversified Apparel is a division of Textile Import LLC which produces and manufactures private label and branded menswear apparel.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for an Associate Apparel Designer in our NYC officeAssist the Design Director in all aspectsSit in on customer meetings and take copious notes re: designCreate tech packs for styles including, but not limited to : technical sketches, BOM, specsPreferred experience in outerwearstudy and understand the aesthetic and price points of our brands and private label customersshop mill collections to prepare for meetingsmaintain fabric and trim librariesprepare CAD's for all accounts as neededwork on proto development details and manage related proto WIPcommunication with customers, mills, and factoriesRequirements / Job Qualifications:Bachelor's or Associate's degree3-5 years of direct or related experienceAble to multitask in a fast paced work environmentDemonstrate attention to detailProblem solving skillsSelf-disciplined and motivatedBe a results-oriented team playerStrong organizational skillsStrong computer skills (CAD/tech pack/graphic design experience a must)Job Type: Full-time Monday-Friday in personSalary: $75,000 - $90,000 per year based on experienceBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offSupplemental pay types:Discretionary bonus opportunityExperience:Flat Sketching: 3 years (Required)Men's Clothing: 1 year (Required)
