Director of RF IC Engineering

This is an opportunity for a Director of RF IC Engineering to join a multi national company innovating high performance Analog semiconductors to help power the Wireless networking revolution!The Director of RF IC Engineering will join the Andover design center and will oversee architecture development, design, integration and delivery of complex multichip RFIC-based module solutions for wireless connectivity applications at 2-9GHz. You will be involved with all aspects of product realization including interfacing with key customers and working with an extended cross-site team to deliver high-performance RF products to high volume markets. You will have a strong background in RF IC Design with an excellent understanding of the wireless market. You will be a leader in product development ensuring consistent use of the latest design methodologies to ensure high quality and on-time product launches.Responsibilities include:Managing RF product and IP development for TX/RX wireless modulesWorking with Marketing and customers to define product specifications and requirementsHelping conduct architecture studies and feasibility simulationsEnsuring use of latest simulation methodologiesHiring, mentoring, and training new team membersProviding status updates to senior managementTravelling to customer sites and other company sites as requiredIndustry degree qualified the successful Director of RF IC Engineering will have a minimum of 15 years' relevant experience relating to Analog/RF IC Design and leadership / team management experience.Experience is required in some or all of the following:Working knowledge of RF IC components including Switch/LNA/PAsSemiconductor process technologies such as CMOS, GaAs/Silicon HBT, SOI, BiCMOSInterfacing with customers Leading cross-functional product teamsWireless communications standards knowledge such as Wi-Fi or LTERF simulation tools including ADS, Cadence, and EM toolsLeading product development including designing and simulating RF components The company has a strong focus on global collaboration and the freedom to make meaningful contributions in a setting that encourages creativity and out-of-the-box thinking.
