Associate Technical Designer

Client Overview: Leading manufacturer and importer of quality apparel, collaborating with celebrated retailers in the USA Position Overview: We are looking for a Technical Designer with expertise and understanding of fit, grading, technical construction and pattern and ability to spec both knit and woven garments.Associate Technical Designer Responsibilities:Lead fit sessions using live model/body form to assess fit, proportion, and overall styling of garmentsProvide recommendations, note callouts, and log critiques to address all issues efficiently during Fit sessions, Add/update Be-product AccordinglyEnsure size and fit consistency within and across product categoriesPartner with Production and overseas offices to support quality and on-time delivery of productsManage fit and construction approval process with cross functional partners to meet all deadlines and raise issues to appropriate level for resolution in a timely mannerCommunicate and provide clear direction to overseas offices and factories on submits and approval statusSpecial projects as assignedAssociate Technical Designer Qualifications:Must be proficient in Excel & Adobe IllustratorStrong sense of urgency and successful track record in a team-oriented environmentExcellent organizational skills, detail oriented and time managementVerbal and written communication skills are crucial with the ability to communicate easily with overseas vendors.Associates degree in Patternmaking or Fashion related degree Preferred 3-5 years equivalent experience.
