Server Installation TechnicianMicrosoft, on-site in Redmond, WAManaged ServicesAbout the RoleJoin our Managed Services team working on permanent projects at the Microsoft campus in Redmond, WA. This is a full-time, on-site role from Monday to Friday. Biblioso provides healthcare and benefits while the vendor works on Microsoft campus. The compensation range for this position is $62,400 to $68,640, plus benefits. Please note that this role is exclusively for direct hires on W2 and is not open to C2C or any third-party arrangements.Job DescriptionThe ideal candidate should come with a minimum of 4 years of experience, along with basic PC/Networking skills. They should be a self-starter, a team player with a willingness to get hands dirty, and exhibit eagerness to level up. Additionally, the candidate should be capable of working in an ambiguous environment.ResponsibilitiesLab/System IntegrationVendor and logistics coordination for deploymentIntegrate support and coordination with primary lab sites for solution deliveryPhysical implementation of hardware within the SI environmentTracks/railsServersPower Distribution Units (PDU's)Network equipment (mostly switches)Basic cabling (BMC, KVM, Network)Possible sheet metal modifications/drillingSystem Administration & SupportImaging with MECM (Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager)Rack Managers (RM)Active Directory (AD), Security Groups (SGs)Lab PortalCarry out typical support activities to intake requests for issues and changesCoordinate SI efforts with other teams (Lab/Resolve/Infra)LogisticsScan/Checkout HardwareSupport will-call requests, where customers pick up equipment from the warehouseScan inventory to capture serial and part information, reallocate server hardware in inventory databaseAzure DevOps (ADO) TicketsAction customer work-order tickets, which may include updating the ticket, coordinating with the customer to resolve an exception, inventory discovery, or hardware moveSystem Integration and Hardware HealthVerify system SKUsConfirm basic system healthPerform hardware re-configurationsDelivery RequestsCreate and/or facilitate delivery requests to order equipment from inventoryUpdate internal systems (IMS and ADO) when actioning a delivery requestLogistics CoordinationAssist the Logistics Coordinators with odd tasks as neededPhysical WorkRack and stackCablingLifting servers and other various equipmentOther SkillsEssential PC skillsBasic understanding of Active DirectoryBasic understanding of System AdministrationCable managementRack and stackFabricationMore About Your RoleThis dynamic role requires a collaborative attitude.
