Job Description: This role is exempt from minimum wage and/or overtime.A Project Manager will lead a team of EIT's, designers, and CAD Technicians to prepare construction plans, specifications, exhibits, reports, quantities, cost estimates, etc. for various land development projects.Includes understanding the scope of work, estimated hours, and will be expected to take ownership of projects from start to finish.Prepare engineering plans/documents to be in compliance with regulatory agencies and communicate with clients regarding project timelines and issues, and accurate maintenance of files and contracts is required.A successful Project Manager will exercise sound decision making, take initiative and exhibit judgment and knowledge showing responsibility of projects.Responsibilities:(including but not limited to)Performs assignments in the design of commercial, single family, multi-family and mixed-use developments - including roadway, domestic water, sanitary sewer and storm sewer drainage system design.Creates, executes, and revises project work plans as appropriate to meet client needsManages day-to-day operational aspects of a project/scope, also client interactionsReviews deliverables prepared by team before passing to clientPrepares for engagement reviews and quality assurance proceduresEnsures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriatelyTracks and reports project hours and expenses on a weekly basisUnderstands basic revenue models, cost-to-completion projections, pricing models, and billing procedures. Make decisions accordingly.Assures project legal documents are completed and signedDelivers engaging, informative, well-organized presentationsUnderstands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfullyQualificationsFive+ (5) years of post-graduate experience in design and construction oversight of land development projectsB.S. in Civil Engineering from an A.B.E.T Accredited SchoolLicensed Professional Engineer in the State of TexasWorking knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil-3D, HEC-HMS or PondPack, HEC-RAS, etc.Private land development experience requiredAbility to lead creation of designs and drawings supporting our client's overall project goalsComputer skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc), AutoCAD (Including Civil3D), HEC Software (HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, etc.), Bentley (PondPack, StormCAD, etc.)
