As Department Manager at Printemps New York, you will play a key role in leading the daily operations of a luxury retail environment, ensuring smooth processes, exceptional customer experiences, and adherence to brand standards.You will work closely with the General Manager to optimize store performance, support operational efficiencies, and deliver an exceptional level of service to both clients and associates.This leadership role requires a strong blend of strategic thinking, operational acumen, and a passion for luxury retail.Team Leadership & DevelopmentLead, inspire, and motivate the 50 associates to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service. Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback to develop staff, ensuring they maintain strong product knowledge and adhere to brand standards.Operational ManagementOversee daily operations, ensuring efficient processes for inventory management, stock replenishment, and visual merchandising. Implement and maintain store policies related to loss prevention, product flow, and operational efficience.Customer ExperienceCultivate lasting client relationships by offering personalized service and creating memorable shopping experiences. Address customer concerns promptly and maintain a high level of client satisfaction.Sales Performance & StrategyDrive daily and weekly sales performance by identifying opportunities for growth and adjusting strategies as needed. Analyze sales data and customer trends to optimize product placement, stock levels, and promotional activities.Reporting & AnalysisProvide regular updates and reports to the General Manager on sales, inventory levels, and team performance. Analyze key metrics to drive continuous improvement in store operations.Collaboration & Cross-functional SupportWork closely with other departments, including CRM, Marketing, and Visual Merchandising, to ensure store-wide alignment and execution of strategies that support business goals.Human Resources Support recruitment, training, and development to build a diverse, high-performing team. Promote an inclusive work environment through DEI initiatives. Ensure adherence to company policies and collaborate with HR on development programs and career growth opportunities.Requirements:Previous luxury retail experience, with proven success in sales, team leadership, and operational management.Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.Ability to analyze sales performance and adjust strategies to meet objectives.Flexibility to work a dynamic schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.Printemps does not provide work authorization sponsorship for this position.
