The DEN Great Hall Program is a large, multi-year construction upgrade program within an occupied international airport located in Denver, Colorado. The program is looking for a Night Shift MEP Construction Inspector to support construction activities associated with Heating Ventilating and Air Conditioning, Electrical, and Plumbing at the Denver International Airport. To ensure success in this role, you will perform field inspection services to confirm work performed is in full compliance with contract documents. You will also apply your knowledge of demolition, equipment removal, refurbishment, installation and testing, and commissioning and startup services per mechanical, electrical, and plumbing code requirements. Responsibilities:Perform quality assurance inspections to achieve compliance with contract plans and specifications. Monitor and inspect the work of contractors to ensure proper construction methods are utilized.Review approved permitted plans, specifications, submittals, drawings, change orders, and Requests for Information for requirements of the construction contract to be applied in the field.Prepare and maintain documentation including inspection logs, daily reports, digital photographic documentation, force accounts, materials testing, and other construction records.Document changes to design plans/drawings that occur during construction; document reasons for change; and ensure drawings are an accurate representation of work performed.Identify, document and track closure of contractor work that is out of compliance or deficient. Initiates Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) for action by the Registered Design Professional.Monitor and track shutdown requests. Coordinate work as needed with additional inspection personnel. Monitor and track scheduled code compliant inspections. Coordinate inspections as needed with additional inspection personnel. This position will primarily be performing QA inspection services on the Ansbacher Hall (A Bridge) project. Night shift work is expected to last for 6-9 months with the possibility of transitioning to day shift on other Great Hall projects after that. Requirements:10+ years of experience with Heating Ventilating and Air Conditioning, Electrical, and Plumbing systems within vertical construction. Proficient in the use of computer application programs such as Word, Excel, construction management specific software, and other systems.Security Requirements - As the successful candidate, you must pass a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) background check as well as a criminal history background check with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Your employment will be contingent upon obtaining a DEN Airport ID badge upon clearance.Preferred Qualifications:Certification as a Journey Electrician in the State of Colorado. Certification as a Journeyman Plumber in the State of Colorado.ICC Commercial Electrical certification.
