Computer Vision EngineerAbout the Company:Our client is a pre-seed startup that is ready to bring on a computer vision engineer to supercharge their core product. They're pioneering a niche solution that automates the complex, time-consuming sales process in HVAC and construction equipment. With a founding team that has deep expertise and connections in this industry, they are uniquely positioned to make a significant impact. In terms of traction they are in the midst of raising a significant second round, have an increasingly high volume of client acquisition, and exponential month over month revenue growth.Location Requirements:Given this startup is in pre-seed stage, this role is fully in person. Candidates must be based in NYC.Required QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or other relevant field with focus on machine learning.5+ years of coding experience with Python.3+ years of experience developing and adapting model architectures with PyTorch.2+ years of experience with deep learning for computer vision applications, especially semantic segmentation or object detection.2+ years of experience with production-level code development and optimization.1+ years of experience with distributed/parallel training.1+ years of experience with deployment and monitoring pipelines for ML systems.1+ years of experience with model development on a major cloud platform (GCP, AWS etc.)Experience constructing and maintaining quality datasets (experiences with data cleaning, data reformatting, bootstrapping synthetic datasets, and creating annotation tasks are all valued).Experience with OpenCV or equivalent libraries.Proven ability to implement and adapt techniques or architectures from academic or industry literature.Nice to HaveExperience building continual learning or periodic retraining pipelines for production CV applications.Experience with active learning setups.Experience using OCR libraries or APIs.Ability to implement CV algorithms in a low-level language (C).Experience writing CUDA kernel programs.Strong understanding of traditional CV techniques - (component analysis, template matching, key point matching, etc.)Published research developing SOTA computer vision models.What's in It for You:Cash Compensation: $150,000 - $170,000.Equity: Significant equity in the company, with high growth potential as an early team member.Long-Term Growth: Opportunity to advance to an executive-level role, helping drive product vision and strategy as the company expands.This is a unique opportunity to join a high-potential startup in a specialized industry and make a real impact on product and company direction.
