Job Title: OAR IILocationLos Angeles, CACompany: PMCS GroupDivision: Facilities ServicesPosition Overview:PMCS Group is seeking an experienced OAR II to oversee and manage large-scale construction projects for the modernization and construction of educational and commercial/public agency facilities. The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of experience in construction and/or project management, with at least 5 years of coordinating complex projects with values exceeding $20M.Minimum Qualifications:15 years of full-time, paid professional experience in Construction and/or Project Management of Commercial or Public/Educational Facility Construction.5 years of experience with full responsibility for coordinating complex projects with values exceeding $20M.Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management (or related field) from a recognized college or university.ORBachelor's degree in any field with the ability to complete the Certified Construction Manager (CCM) credential within 1 year of employment.ORPossession of a valid Certified Construction Manager (CCM) credential, which may substitute for required education.Hands-on leadership experience in the construction and modernization of educational or large commercial/public agency projects.Mastery in partnering while enforcing contracts and managing project teams, contractors, and consultants.Preferred Qualifications:Design-Build Experience.Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) or Collaborative for High Performing Schools (CHPS) project experience.Experience with Division of the State Architect (DSA) construction/design processes.OSHA Safety Regulations (OSHA 30 minimum).Registered Architect or Professional Engineer in California.Certified Construction Manager (CCM) by CMCI.Key Responsibilities:Oversee and manage all phases of pre-construction, bid, award, construction, and close-out for assigned projects.Coordinate with public agencies and District staff to comply with all off-site work requirements.Manage project budget, schedule, and ensure they align with District standards.Review contractors' construction schedules and submittals, ensuring that all project milestones are met.Manage change orders, schedule impacts, and negotiate fair pricing with contractors.Coordinate the delivery of related fixtures, furniture, and equipment.Lead the project team, ensuring efficient communication and problem-solving across all stakeholders.Monitor and manage the project's financial close-out and certification with the Division of State Architects (DSA).Perform other duties as assigned.Primary Skills:Design-Build, Pre-Construction, Construction Management, OSHA 30, Budget Management, Verbal and Written Communication, Problem Solving, Long Range Planning, Staffing, RFI/Submittals, Life Cycle, Environmental Design.Secondary Skills:CCM, LEED, BIM, DSA, Change Order, CHPS.Certifications:Certified Construction Manager (CCM)Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED)Professional EngineerRegistered Architect (RA)We look forward to receiving your application!Equal Opportunity EmployerPMCS Group is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity.
