About UsAvsar Construction is seeking a skilled and experienced QA/QC Technical Reviewer - Electrical to join our team of experts. In this role, you will apply your technical expertise in electrical engineering to review and improve plans for construction projects. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to high-quality educational facilities through meticulous design evaluations and adherence to industry standards.Role OverviewThe QA/QC Technical Reviewer - Electrical is responsible for conducting detailed reviews of electrical plans and specifications for construction projects. The role involves assessing adherence to standards, ensuring design quality, and providing recommendations to improve documentation, coordination, and conformance to safety and building codes.Roles and ResponsibilitiesPerform technical reviews of electrical plans and specifications submitted by design teams for construction projects.Provide comments on design adherence to standards, quality, documentation, and coordination with other disciplines.Support the development and maintenance of design guidelines, including the School Design Guide and other technical specifications.Update and improve policies and guides related to electrical design, ensuring conformance to safety requirements, building codes, and construction quality.Collaborate with various teams within the organization to coordinate activities effectively.Undertake additional duties as assigned.Minimum RequirementsExperience:A minimum of 10 years of full-time, paid professional experience in electrical engineering planning, design, and construction, particularly in educational facilities.Education:A bachelor's degree in architecture, electrical engineering, or a related field from a recognized college or university.Additional relevant experience may be substituted for up to 2 years of the educational requirement.Skills and Abilities:Expertise in architectural and electrical engineering practices for school construction and maintenance.Proficiency in preparing technical specifications and construction-related documents.Knowledge of relevant building codes and standards, including California Building Code, OSHA, LEED, and CHPS.Ability to perform quality assurance, constructability, and peer reviews.Strong analytical, communication, and technical writing skills.Preferred Licenses and Certifications:Certification as a Professional Engineer or Architect in California.Certified Construction Manager (CCM) credential is a plus.
