The FP&A Analyst will support the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager in providing financial insights to drive the business's decision-making process. This role will focus on budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and preparing financial reports that align with the strategic goals of the oil and gas company. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide recommendations to senior management. This position is in our Woodlands, Texas office with responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following:Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, long-range plans, and quarterly forecasts, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy.Perform in-depth variance analysis to compare actual results to budget and forecast, identifying key drivers and making recommendations for improvement.Develop and maintain financial models to support business analysis, such as capital expenditure forecasts, project profitability, and pricing strategies.Collaborate with operations, supply chain, production, and other departments to gather necessary data for financial planning and analysis.Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc financial reports, including key metrics, for senior management and stakeholders.Analyze market conditions, industry trends, and company performance metrics to assess potential financial risks and opportunities.Support scenario analysis and sensitivity modeling to guide strategic planning and risk management efforts.Assist in the analysis of M&A opportunities and the financial implications of potential investments.Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all financial reports and systems.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required1-2 years of experience in financial planning and analysis is preferred. Oil and gas industry experience is a plus. Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, Excel and SqlExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.High level of attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.LocationLocated in The Woodlands, TexasCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive compensation based on experience including an annual performance bonus.We offer medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, Commodore will match $1.50 for each $1.00 on up to 6% of your employee 401(k) deferral.
