Position OverviewThe Executive Director serves as the Chief Executive Officer and primary representative of Campo 25. This inspiring leader will champion the organization's mission and vision, cultivate strong partnerships with the Board of Directors, and build strategic collaborations to advance Campo 25's goals. They will also secure the resources needed to sustain and enhance the organization's impact.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership and Mission AlignmentProvide strategic leadership to ensure Campo 25 operates in alignment with its mission, vision, and values.Serve as Campo 25's spokesperson and representative to stakeholders, including community members, partners, donors, and the media.Develop and nurture strategic partnerships, primarily focusing on collaborating with a women-focused agency to jointly plan, co-develop, and ultimately transfer full ownership of the Seymour Avenue property or properties at no cost to the partner agency.Fundraising and DevelopmentDevelop a comprehensive fundraising strategy to support the organization's programs and operations.Cultivate relationships with individual donors, foundations, and corporate sponsors.Oversee grant application and reporting processes to secure and maintain funding.Explore and implement new innovative revenue opportunities, utilizing the Seymour Avenue property as a catalyst for community development and financial sustainability.Navigate social media as an active and low-cost media channel to gain awareness and attract small-dollar donors.Board Engagement and GovernanceCollaborate closely with the Board of Directors to establish strategic priorities, operational goals, and measurable outcomes.Provide regular updates to the Board, including financial performance, programmatic impact, requested resources, and emerging opportunities.Ensure compliance with all regulatory and governance requirements.Community EngagementRepresent and advocate Campo 25's mission through public speaking, media engagements, and events.Increase the organization's visibility and impact by cultivating strong relationships with local government, nonprofit organizations, and key stakeholders.QualificationsRequiredFundraising ExpertiseDemonstrated success in fundraising, including major gifts, grants, and sponsorships. This role will require solicitation of significant gifts of up to $1 million for development and capital investment. Partnership DevelopmentExperience building strategic partnerships, especially with women-focused agencies.Strong Communication SkillsExceptional ability to articulate the vision, inspire stakeholders, and represent the organization.Financial AcumenAbility to budget, have financial oversight, and plan for resource allocation.Mission-DrivenDeep commitment to empowering survivors and fostering systemic change.EducationA Bachelor's degree or substantial relevant work experience in nonprofit management, social work, or a related field.PreferredLeadership ExperienceProven track record of leadership in nonprofit management, social services, or related fields.Creative Thinker / InnovatorUnderstands traditional Executive Director and fundraiser playbooks but applies them innovatively to identify new solutions.Experience with Trauma-Informed Care PrinciplesKnowledge of Cleveland Nonprofit LandscapeBilingual (English and Spanish) or multilingual abilities.Compensation and HoursHours - 20 hours per week / 80 hours per month.Salary - $5,000 per month, negotiable based on skills and experience.About Campo 25Our mission is to combat community deterioration and encourage and facilitate economic development in distressed neighborhoods. Additionally, we work as advocates to enhance positive outreach and engagement between the communities we serve, institutions, and government to ensure the execution of our mission, thereby lessening neighborhood tension and the burden of government. Our engagements include advisory and advocacy with not-for-profits and private businesses and active participation in repositioning real estate's planning, ownership, and transactions.One of Campo 25's current projects is to fund and build permanent housing on Seymour Avenue for survivors, including those with multigenerational needs. We plan for the Executive Director to develop, lead, and execute this project's strategy and contract with the appropriate non-profit beneficiary of the property and Campo 25's development resources. Once this project is complete, Campo 25 seeks to continue with this model in other aspects of Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, and beyond.Campo 25 is dedicated to honoring the resilience and strength of survivors and fostering a community where individuals can thrive.
