Position Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Manager - Delta V to join a leading pharmaceutical company in the Raleigh, NC area. This role is pivotal to the success of a greenfield project and offers the opportunity to contribute to the design, development, and implementation of advanced automation systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in DeltaV Batch Control and a proven track record of managing automation systems in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.Key Responsibilities:Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of DeltaV Batch Control systems to support a state-of-the-art pharmaceutical manufacturing facility.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and quality, to ensure automation systems meet project requirements.Oversee the development of system architecture, hardware selection, and software design to align with project timelines and operational needs.Manage automation system vendors and contractors, ensuring quality and compliance with regulatory standards.Drive system commissioning, qualification, and validation processes for the greenfield project.Develop and maintain project documentation, including functional specifications, user requirements, and design specifications.Provide technical leadership and mentorship to automation engineers and other team members.Ensure compliance with cGMP, GAMP, and FDA regulations in all automation activities.Identify opportunities for system optimization and future scalability to support long-term operational goals.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.6+ years of experience in automation engineering within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.Strong expertise in DeltaV Batch Control systems, including design, configuration, and troubleshooting.Hands-on experience with greenfield projects, including system design and implementation.Familiarity with cGMP, FDA regulations, and other industry standards.Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively in a collaborative environment.Experience with system validation and commissioning is highly preferred.
