A nonprofit organization in New York City is currently seeking a new Talent Acquisition Specialist for a promising opportunity with their growing staff. In this role, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for coordinating the recruitment process for open and forecasted positions for specific departments and/or job classes within the organization. About the Opportunity:Start Date: ASAPAssignment Length: 6+ monthsSchedule: Monday to FridayHours: 9am to 5pm (35-hour work week; 1-hour paid lunch)Responsibilities:Manage full recruiting cycle for assigned vacanciesReview, analyze and clarify job specifications, competencies/skills required to gain and understanding of program needs to maximize recruitment effortsScreen, interview, and recommend applicants to managers for further review and assist managers with interview and selection process as neededDevelop and executes external recruitment program that integrates various methods, including online job boards, campus recruiting, work force job programs and social mediaEstablish and maintain strategic relationships with colleges/universities, local and regional community organizations, professional associations, workforce centers and industry contacts to identify potential candidatesTrack all open positions and coordinates advertising needsManage internal job posting program including screening of current employees for promotion or transfer considerationInitiates new hire on-boarding process, including pre-employment documents and background checks, and administration of skills assessments as neededGenerate reports on an ad hoc basis and provides HR staffing needs analysisConduct new hire employee surveys, analyzes dates and makes recommendations to improve recruitment and on-boarding processesPartners with city agencies to assure regulatory compliance and to assure that hiring requirements are metPerform other duties, as neededQualifications: 2+ years of experience with creating and managing diverse Recruitment Programs and SourcesBachelor's DegreeExperience utilizing Applicant Tracking System and Recruiting software to measure, track and report the status and success of recruiting initiativesStrong experience developing and executing proactive Sourcing StrategiesExperience recruiting for positions in a Social Services and/or in a Nonprofit environmentKnowledge of HRIS and Applicant tracking systemMicrosoft Office proficientExceptional phone etiquetteGreat interpersonal skillsExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)Strong attention to detailHighly organized
