This individual will be part of the Parts Department team and responsible for handling sales for our customers' needs. This person will establish business relationships with customers, handle inbound calls, and aid sales representatives with research of products, pricing, and availability. The Parts Counter Salesperson will assist the team in maintaining inventory levels to ensure that the Service Department can complete their work in a timely manner without delay. They will provide excellent response and support to our clients, sales, outside vendors and other operating personnel. In addition, this individual will work to ensure smooth operation in a busy, fast paced environmentPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Answer inbound phone calls from customers and mechanics to fill parts requestsResearch forklift breakdown descriptions and required partsPlace orders and issue corresponding purchase orders to vendorsOrder picking and stockingFollow up with call-in, walk-in, and internal (department) customersTake quotes and orders over the phone for counter customers as well as the company road techsComplete quotes and order via emails (mostly for road techs)Create, receive, and bill parts on manual PO's for mechanics at vendorsStock order review/order in EBS based on usageProvide daily reports and orders for all EBO purchase orders for Clark, Komatsu, Big Joe, etc.Stock review and order batteries for I/C machines and smaller electric jacksHandle UPS shipping and receiving when shipper is outProvide tire quotes and scheduling for customers with third party vendorsBill throughout the month as well as EOMOther duties as periodically assignedADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Previous experience in customer support role with strong communication skillsExperience with automotive partsExperience with forklifts (preferred)High School Diploma or certified equivalentFamiliarity working with Windows and Microsoft office suiteStrong attention to detailAbility to work independently and as a teamAbility to multi-taskCan work under pressure in a fast-paced atmosphereMust be comfortable with prolonged periods standing, sitting at a desk, typing, and working on a computerCan lift up to 50lbs.Valid driver's licenseWe are an equal opportunity employer, and we are an organization that values diversity.
