Senior Database Engineer (SQL Server and Oracle)

Salary is 190k to 215k + bonusHybrid positionSeeking an experienced Senior Database Engineer with experience in building Data Warehouses/Data Marts and proficiency in PL/SQL and T-SQL. This role will involve designing, developing, and optimizing complex data solutions.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain Data Warehouses/Data Marts for analytical and reporting purposes.Write complex queries using PL/SQL and T-SQL for data manipulation, transformation, and reporting.Develop ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into data warehouses or data marts.Collaborate with business analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and design efficient solutions.Optimize and fine-tune database queries and processes to ensure high performance and scalability.Maintain data integrity and ensure the security and reliability of data systems.Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues, data discrepancies, and other technical problems.Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in database technologies, best practices, and data management techniques.Provide mentorship and guidance to junior database developers, helping to elevate team skills and productivity.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).12 + years of experience in database development, with a focus on Data Warehousing and Data Marts.Strong expertise in PL/SQL and T-SQL for complex data querying, transformation, and reporting.In-depth experience with database design and architecture for large-scale data solutions.Proficient in ETL processes and data integration techniques.Experience with database management systems (DBMS) such as Oracle, SQL Server, or similar platforms.Familiarity with BI tools and reporting platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex database issues.Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.Preferred SkillsExperience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).Knowledge of NoSQL databases and data lakes.Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
