Immigration Paralegal

Please note: MUST be bilingual--fluent in Spanish and EnglishFast-paced immigration law firm located in Lawrence, MA, seeks an enthusiastic and motivated Immigration Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist and support our attorneys in immigration litigation practice, preparation of immigrant visas, family-based petitions, naturalization and asylum applications. The candidate must demonstrate strong writing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Key Responsibilities: Client and Case Management:o Maintain client contact informationo Provide status updates to attorneys and clients as directedo Update case management systemo Draft, prepare and review applications, petitions, motions and sworn declarations to be filed with government agencieso Analyze case documents and prepare immigration applications for filing with the appropriate government agencyFile Management:o Maintain and organize fileso File documents internally and with government agencies Trial Preparation:o Assist in trial preparationo Draft, prepare, review, and edit appropriate legal documents Communication:o Communicate regularly with clients regarding procedural and case processing issues, assisting with the review of caseso Learn procedural and processing requirements for various types of court cases, non-immigrant and immigrant visa petitions and applications among other processeso Build knowledge of firm and client processes Team Collaboration:o Work closely in a team environmento Prioritize and assign cases, monitor workload and productiono Identify ways to improve team productivity and office-wide projects.Other Duties:o Follow company policies and procedureso Handle confidential information and materials in a trustworthy fashionRequirements:Associate's or Bachelor's degreeFluent in English and SpanishProficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Web-based programsStrong organizational and time-management skills, with ability to handle multiple tasks· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlinesBeacon Hill is an Equal Opportunity Employer that values the strength diversity brings to the workplace.
