Associate/Vice President - Credit Team

Role Title: Associate/Vice President - Credit TeamReporting to: Head of Credit, ZCGLocation: New York OfficePosition overviewThe Associate will work as part of the ZCG Credit team on all stages of the investment process including sourcing, analyzing, and making investment recommendations on leveraged loans, high yield bonds, private credit and stressed credits for ZCG CLOs and closed-end funds.The Associate will also monitor existing positions and be responsible for performing quantitative financial analysis, as well as conducting industry research. The candidate will be joining a rapidly expanding platform with opportunities for growth. The position will be based in New York, NY. Key ResponsibilitiesPerforming comprehensive credit analysis and evaluating capital structures, company fundamentals, industry trends and credit agreement terms.Constructing and maintaining financial models and developing valuation analyses.Writing formal credit memoranda and presenting investment recommendations to ZCCP's Investment Committee.Monitoring existing portfolio investments and providing timely updates to portfolio managers on financial results and developing credit situations.Candidate Requirements:Candidate should have at least 4+ years of total experience, including the completion of a two-year analyst program at an investment bank (leveraged finance, restructuring, M&A backgrounds preferred) and previous experience investing in leveraged credit.Completion or progress towards an MBA or CFA designation preferred but not required.Knowledge of CLO structures, credit agreements and workouts/restructurings is preferred.Keen ability to construct concise, persuasive verbal and written investment opinions.Superior analytical, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills.We are looking for a creative, competitive personality who possesses a high energy level.
