This is a fully onsite 5x per week position in NYC This is an individual contributor role Position Overview: The Senior HR Business Partner will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, driving strategic HR initiatives that align with business goals. With a focus on performance management, succession planning, compensation planning, and organizational effectiveness, this individual contributor role requires a seasoned professional with deep expertise in the financial services industry.Key Responsibilities:Partner closely with senior leadership to understand business objectives and develop HR strategies that drive performance, engagement, and long-term success.Lead and execute performance management processes, ensuring alignment with business goals and fostering a culture of continuous feedback and improvement.Oversee succession planning efforts, identifying and developing future leaders to secure the firm's long-term talent pipeline.Manage the end-to-end compensation planning process, including bonus structures, equity grants, and market benchmarking to ensure competitive and equitable pay practices.Provide strategic advice on organizational design, workforce planning, and change management initiatives to support evolving business needs.Act as a key advisor on complex employee relations matters, offering solutions that align with the firm's culture and values.Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) to deliver best-in-class talent programs and solutions.Utilize HR analytics to provide insights and recommendations that inform business decisions and drive continuous improvement.Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts, fostering an inclusive culture that attracts and retains top talent.Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, mitigating risk and safeguarding the firm's reputation.Required Qualifications:Advanced degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field.15-20 years of progressive HR experience, with significant time spent in the financial services industry.Demonstrated ability to influence and advise executive-level leadership on complex HR and business matters.Proven expertise in performance management, succession planning, compensation planning, and organizational effectiveness.Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of the unique challenges within the financial services industry.Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a track record of building strong relationships across all levels of an organization.Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable HR strategies.Comfortable operating in a high-impact, individual contributor role with the ability to manage multiple priorities.Preferred Qualifications:Experience working in a global, matrixed organization.Certification in HR-related disciplines (e.g., SPHR, SHRM-SCP).Familiarity with leadership assessment tools and frameworks.
