Director of Digital Development

We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Director of Digital Development to lead the evolution of our B2B digital media and events company by leveraging cutting-edge web technologies, advanced analytics, and data-driven insights. This individual will drive the creation and execution of innovative digital strategies, optimize web platforms, and enhance user engagement to fuel business growth and revenue.The ideal candidate combines expertise in web development, analytics, and digital engagement with a deep understanding of web technologies and infrastructure. This role also requires strong leadership skills to manage and inspire a talented team of developers and project managers, alongside business development acumen to innovate and create impactful products.Key Responsibilities:Web Development & Technology LeadershipOversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of scalable, secure, and innovative web platforms that support our digital media and events offerings.Drive the technical roadmap for web development, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry trends.Evaluate and implement new web technologies, frameworks, and tools to enhance platform performance, functionality, and user experience.Ensure the seamless integration of web technologies with analytics tools to optimize data collection, reporting, and actionable insights.Digital Strategy & EngagementPartner with Brand teams to enhance digital success by understanding and optimizing engagement metrics, user behavior, and digital interaction strategies.Partner with the VP of Digital team on the creation and execution of a forward-thinking video strategy that integrates seamlessly with web platforms to enhance engagement and expand digital offeringsFacilitate a solution for the delivery of high-quality, web-based content that resonates with target audiences across platforms, ensuring consistency and alignment with brand goals.Utilize analytics to continuously improve the performance and effectiveness of web platforms and digital strategies.Develop and implement new digital products and services that align with business goals, with a focus on leveraging web platforms to deliver value to clients.Monitor trends in web development, digital media, and analytics to help ensure the company remains an industry leader.Team Leadership & CollaborationManage, mentor, and inspire a team of 8 developers and project managers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.Ensure timely and successful delivery of web development projects that meet business goals and client expectations.Partner cross-functionally with marketing, sales, and operations teams to align development initiatives with overall business objectives. Operational Excellence & Technical ExpertiseLead efforts to optimize the performance and scalability of web platforms, ensuring robust technical infrastructure to support business growth.Work with the development team to implement advanced solutions for web performance, accessibility, and security.Understand the "under the hood" mechanics of engagement, applying technical expertise to optimize workflows and deliver measurable results.JOB REQUIREMENTS: A minimum of 5 years of management experience, including leading teams of developers and project managers.Working with internal customers on their developer needs.Demonstrated success in driving revenue through innovative web-based product development and strategic business growth.Extensive experience in developing and executing digital strategies, including video and content delivery via web platforms.College degree preferred.Skills & ExpertiseHands-on experience and understanding of PHP, HTML 5, CSS, and JavaScript, frameworks such as Bootstrap and JQuery, and version control using Git.Strong understanding of web infrastructure, including APIs, cloud platforms (AWS and Google Cloud), and database systems, including (but not limited to) MySQL.Recent experience and familiarity with Wordpress, including both custom and third party plugins, and custom theming.Knowledge of and experience with Agile project methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban, as well as conventional waterfall project management.Considerable experience with Jira for project and task management.Proficiency in analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Tableau, or Power BI) to derive actionable insights from web and user data.About AIOur People Are Our StrengthAt Access Intelligence, we create exceptional experiences that ignite connection and commerce.
