LHH is partnering with a long-standing client, a medical device manufacturer based in Denver, CO, to find a Category Manager for Professional Services. In this role, you will implement and execute procurement strategies for indirect procurement. This includes developing short and long-term strategies, improving purchasing practices by consolidating category spend, managing supplier performance, and reducing total costs. The right candidate will have significant experience leading RFXs in a large, global company. Apply today!Compensation$100,00.00 to $120,000 with 10% target bonus; determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and alignment with market data.LocationHybrid or Remote. Preference for candidates local to Lakewood, CO open to a hybrid schedule.Responsibilities:Direct and execute strategic sourcing strategies and best practices.Execute category sourcing strategies, including development and execution of RFIs and RFPs.Document bid events and develop selection criteria for suppliers.Lead supplier negotiations and ongoing supplier management.Streamline business processes and research industry category trends.Develop negotiation strategies and lead cross-functional negotiation teams.Use spend information/data to identify sourcing projects for sub-categories.Manage category performance and ensure balanced spend portfolio.Drive supplier performance improvements.Prepare business cases and present cost-saving proposals.Ensure purchasing compliance with legal and financial requirements.QualificationsBachelor's degree, required.CPSM, CPM, CPP, CPIM, or other designation preferred but not required.Minimum 8 years of experience in procurement or category management in a large, multi-national company.Experience managing or supporting enterprise-wide contingent labor programs.Demonstrated experience leading RFX's and managing a sourcing category for professional services.Strong communication skills and ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.Keen eye for detail and ability to optimize value from suppliers.Excellent analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.Strong negotiation skills and ability to develop and execute negotiation strategies.Proactive, results-oriented, reliable, persuasive, and an excellent team player.
