Computer Numerical Control Machinist

5+ years' programming experience along with Five (5) to Ten 10) years of precision machining experience.. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in operating CNC machinery. This role involves precision machining of components and requires a keen eye for detail, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with team members, management, quality control, to work on our state-of-the-art a fast-paced environment.DutiesUse Mastercam to create CNC programs for mills and lathes.Set up, adjust, and operate CNC mills and Lathes along with any other necessary equipment according to setup documentation and or work instruction.Verify set ups by measuring positions, checking tool length offsets and or fixturing.Solid understanding of G and M codes.Observe and listen to operating machines or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions and to determine the need for adjustments or repairs. Report findings to supervisorsMaintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.Effectively use precision measurement tools, such as height gauges, calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, dial indicators, gauge blocks, sine plates, sine bars, indexing heads, rotary tables, coordinate measuring machines (CMMs), and Vision Systems.Measure completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications.Confer with engineering, shop management, and manufacturing personnel to exchange technical and tie in information.Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.Willing to learn new equipment such as 5th axis, Wire EDM, Swiss and Mill-TurnMinimum Qualifications:High School diploma/GEDMust have Five (5) years of CNC programming experience using Mastercam softwareMust have Five (5) to ten (10) years of precision machining experience within a manufacturing / job shop environment.Experience with the following Machines (Operating, Setting up, at Machine EditsMills 3 & 4 AxisPreferred Qualifications:Experience with the following Machines (programming and or Operating, Setting-up, at Machine EditsMatsuura 5 axis (preferred)EDM Wire (preferred)CNC Citizen Swiss (preferred)CNC DMG Mori NLX 1500 (preferred)Complete verification softwareAdvanced manual mill and lathe abilitiesAdditional knowledge, skills, and abilities: Knowledge of G&M code, GD&T, measurement tools, Shop math, and blueprint reading is required.
