Here, we go beyond therapy to create lasting impact, ensuring each child gains the confidence and physical independence they need to thrive.Your RoleAs an Occupational Therapist, you will be a cornerstone in the development of young learners, creating tailored therapeutic plans that inspire growth and achievement. This is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children, collaborating with a team of dedicated professionals to ensure each child reaches their full potential.What You'll DoDesign Individualized InterventionsDevelop and implement occupational therapy plans that address the unique developmental needs of each child, focusing on fostering independence and functional skills.Collaborate with a Multidisciplinary TeamWork closely with educators, families, and other professionals to ensure therapy seamlessly integrates into each child's learning experience.Document ProgressMaintain accurate records of therapy sessions, ensuring compliance with Volunteers of America policies and third-party payer requirements.Supervise and MentorProvide guidance to Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTAs) and students, nurturing the next generation of therapy professionals.Maintain a Professional StandardUphold the Occupational Therapy Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice, ensuring the highest level of care and integrity.Contribute to a Positive EnvironmentMaintain and organize therapy spaces and equipment to support effective intervention.What You BringMaster's Degree in Occupational TherapyNew York State License and NBCOT CertificationExperience or training in pediatric occupational therapyA collaborative spirit and passion for empowering young learnersWhy Join UsAt the Bronx Early Learning Center, you'll be part of a supportive team that values your expertise and invests in your growth.
