Audit Manager

The Opportunity:We are seeking an Accounting Specialist to join the Assurance Department of our Rochester, NY office.This is a part-time position (anticipated to be 20 hours per week) with the option for the role to become full-time. This is an on-site position at our Rochester, NY office, with the ability for the role to become hybrid in the future. Flexible scheduling to arrive at the 20 hours per week!In this position, you will work in a collaborative environment and experience a team approach to serving clients while also developing direct relationships.The Accounting Specialist is responsible for providing financial statement updates, mapping engagement binders, making sample selections, and providing Partner support.A Closer Look At The Role:Create engagement letters for Partner to reviewRoll the binders for our current clients and update reports/workpapersCreate binders for new clients and create reports/workpapers for the teamCreate the engagement organizers, contact clients and make changes when neededFormat financial statements and other related reports, as well as updating required changesComplete the Audit Committee and executive summary documentPrint, bind and mail the final reportsAssist with the sample selection during audit planningQuickBooks (QB) reports downloaded to excel and brought into bindersQualifications & Skills:Attention to detail and problem-solving skillsAdvanced understanding and proficiency in Microsoft ExcelStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaborate as a teamMaintain confidentiality with appropriate application of discretionReliability, punctuality and attention to detailAbility to handle competing prioritiesAssociate degree preferredWhat We Can Offer You: Part-time position (20 hours per week) with the option to become full-timeFlexible work schedule (on-site role with the opportunity to become hybrid)Time: MMB+CO offers a competitive paid time off packageDress for your dayCareer development programProfessional development opportunitiesComprehensive medical, dental and vision benefits (this position is benefit eligible)401 K & Profit-sharing plansFirm events that provide fun ways to socialize with your colleaguesGet To Know Us: At MMB & CO., our focus is on the here and now.
