Business Intelligence Analyst

One Source is seeking a skilled and experienced Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst with the passion to transform and and deliver outcomes by creating innovative BI solutions. This role will be technically focused on data analysis and is instrumental to collaborate with business stakeholders to help gather data-driven requirements, design and implement solutions. Solutions will include dashboards, reports, and other data insights that deliver business value. Responsibilities:Design, develop and deploy reports, dashboards, and managed data modifications necessary to deliver solutions to specifications Design, develop and manage business intelligence solutions per the specified solution deployment process Utilize and direct the needs for ETL processes using Microsoft Fabric and other tools, ensuring efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading from heterogeneous sources. Work with the business and UX to establish standard visualization patterns that enable a positive user experience while providing brand consistency across internal and external deliverables Utilize tabular data models provided the the BI data architect Provide guidance and consultation to an internal team Business Analysts, ensuring adherence to best practices, standards, and architectural guidelines Evaluate and select appropriate data visualization techniques to enhance the transformation of data into value Map business requirements into technical requirements and Non-Functional Requirements. Creation and documentation of technical designs Define testing approaches and metrics that measure solution quality requirements from design through deployment. Partner with clients, business sponsors, and One Source leadership to design End to End solutions that may combine one or many cloud, automation, API, data sources and multi-vendor solutions Perform maintenance on managed data and delivered reports and dashboards per the established change management process. Maintain strict confidentiality pertaining to all proprietary software, sensitive company data as well as internal and external passwords and security features. Work with DevOps leadership to define solution that consider and document economical factors such as TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) and ROI (Return on Investment) Collaborates with security and IT teams to ensure all solutions are fully compliant with organizational standards. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in BI, data ETL, visualizations and analytics to lead the data culture journey within the organization. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience preferred. Experience (2+ years) developing reports and dashboard visualizations using Microsoft Power BI Knowledge, Skills and Experience:Ability to be a thought leader and drive consensus for solutions. Proficient in data engineering and analytics languages - Python, SQL, Power Query, and DAX. Proficient with application and documentation of architectural patterns, modeling, views, and styles Excellent professional communication and the ability to communicate technical concepts in an understandable and concise way to clients and employees Proficiency with Microsoft Fabric and Power BI tools. Additional experience with other tools and frameworks is a plus. Proficiency using version control and deployment (CI/CD) processes in the BI domain. Expertise using data models and orchestrating data pipelines. Strong knowledge of data analysis concepts, data modeling, and data integration techniques. Proven ability to design end-to-end BI solutions that meet complex business requirements. Leadership skill to guide and train Business Analysts to develop and maintain unmanaged reports and dashboards. Excellent problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of data-related challenges and solutions. Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience with data visualization tools and an understanding of best practices around what visualization type to use to provide various insights.
