Position Overview:Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President of Strategy to lead the development and execution of the firm's long-term growth strategy within the healthcare/pharma space. This senior leadership role will be responsible for guiding the company's strategic direction, identifying new market opportunities, and ensuring that strategic initiatives are aligned with overall business objectives. The Vice President of Strategy will play a key role in enhancing competitive position in the healthcare consulting industry and driving the firm's success in an evolving market.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Leadership:Lead the development and execution of the firm's strategic initiatives and ensure alignment with business goals. Provide clear strategic direction to senior leadership, guiding key decisions for growth and profitability.Market Analysis & Insights:Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify industry trends, emerging opportunities, and potential risks. Use these insights to develop and refine strategic plans.Client Relationship Development:Collaborate with the business development team to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients. Provide strategic guidance to clients, ensuring the firm's services meet their evolving needs and contribute to long-term success.Cross-functional Collaboration:Work closely with the CEO, senior management team, and other departments, such as marketing, operations, and finance, to ensure seamless execution of the company's strategic vision.Innovation & Transformation:Lead efforts to innovate and differentiate the firm's offerings in a competitive marketplace. Leverage new technologies, methodologies, and business models to enhance service delivery and increase client satisfaction.Performance Monitoring & Reporting:Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of strategic initiatives. Regularly report progress to the executive team, providing actionable recommendations for continuous improvement.Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A):Identify and evaluate potential merger, acquisition, and partnership opportunities. Lead the due diligence process and integration of new entities into the firm's strategic portfolio.Leadership & Team Development:Build and lead a high-performing strategy team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence. Mentor and develop team members, helping them grow in their careers and contribute to the firm's success.Qualifications:Education:Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Healthcare Management, or a related field (required).Additional certifications or advanced degrees in healthcare or consulting-related areas (preferred).Experience:Minimum of 8-11 years of experience in strategy development and execution, with at least 5 years in a leadership or senior management role within the healthcare consulting industry.Proven track record of leading successful strategic initiatives, driving business growth, and improving organizational performance.Experience working with senior executives and stakeholders in healthcare settings, including hospitals, insurance providers, and government organizations.Deep understanding of the healthcare industry, including regulatory frameworks, market trends, and operational challenges.Skills:Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.Ability to influence and align diverse teams around strategic objectives.Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.Proficiency in strategic planning tools and frameworks (e.g., SWOT analysis, Balanced Scorecard, etc.).The Equus Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer and takes pride in maintaining a diverse environment.
