PVBLIC Foundation is seeking a visionary, self-starter with a global mindset to lead our communications strategy as Director of Communications. We work with allies across sectors, including United Nations agencies, global brands, governments, media companies, and multilateral organizations.As Director of Communications, you will be responsible for leading the foundation's global brand and communications strategy. They will work in a fast-paced environment, managing heavy workloads while collaborating with multilateral organizations and navigating the complexities of the UN system.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Communication Leadership:Develop and implement a global communications strategy that reflects PVBLIC's unique role in the multilateral and sustainable development space.Leverage advanced tools, including , to optimize media and data strategies, ensuring highly targeted and impactful campaigns aligned with the foundation's mission.Position PVBLIC as a trusted voice and thought leader across diverse audiences and platforms, driving global engagement and influence.Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for communications strategies to measure impact and refine approaches continuously.Content and Media Management:Independently create, manage, and oversee high-quality content across digital, social, and traditional media channels, ensuring consistency with PVBLIC's messaging and tone. Oversee the creation of multimedia content, including videos, infographics, and podcasts, to diversify messaging and engage broader audiences.Craft compelling narratives, including blogs, newsletters, video scripts, and website content, that showcase PVBLIC's work and amplify its mission.Utilize advanced technologies, such as AI and analytics tools, to inform data-driven content strategies, enhance performance, and maximize campaign ROI.Develop and manage social media content to engage users across platforms like LinkedIn, Twitter, and others, while monitoring engagement metrics and refining strategies for optimal impact.Edit and proofread content for accuracy, clarity, and alignment with PVBLIC's brand.Maintain and enhance the organization's website, ensuring it serves as a dynamic, user-friendly hub for PVBLIC's initiatives and storytelling.Media Relations and Stakeholder Engagement:Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, media outlets, and industry influencers to enhance press coverage and brand visibility.Develop tailored press releases, media advisories, and pitch materials to effectively communicate key messages to the media.Proactively identify trends in the media landscape to capitalize on opportunities for media coverage and thought leadership.Coordinate the distribution of press releases and other materials to targeted media outlets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.Serve as the primary point of contact for media inquiries and crisis communication, delivering timely and accurate responses.Collaborate directly with UN agencies, multilateral organizations, and global partners to align messaging and advance shared goals.Cultivate relationships with high-profile global media outlets and influencers to increase PVBLIC's visibility and reach.Develop and execute targeted public relations campaigns that align with organizational goals and engage specific audiences, including donors, partners, and policymakers.Team Leadership and Collaboration:Lead, manage and structure existing communications staff and contractors, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. Work closely with leadership and program managers to develop tailored communications strategies for PVBLIC's programs and initiatives.Provide logistical and communications support for PVBLIC's own and partner events, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.Conduct regular audits of communication tools and strategies, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the organization and its partners.Adaptation and Innovation:Thrive under intense pressure and tight deadlines, managing workloads across multiple time zones with resilience and efficiency.Introduce and implement advanced communication tools and technologies, such as AI-driven platforms and CRM systems like HubSpot, to streamline workflows and improve outcomes.Monitor industry trends and media landscapes to ensure PVBLIC remains at the forefront of global communication innovation.Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate is a skilled and strategic communicator with a passion for sustainability, philanthropy, and advancing global impact. They must excel at breaking down complex topics into concise, compelling narratives, ensuring clarity and coherence across all communications channels (in both English and Spanish).This individual thrives in collaborative environments and is equally comfortable working independently, delivering high-quality content under pressure.
