CASAC or LMSW

A nonprofit organization in Brooklyn, New York, is currently seeking a qualified CASAC or LMSW for a full-time position. This role involves providing counseling services, creating treatment plans, and working closely with clients in need of substance use treatment.About the Opportunity:Shift: Monday to Friday, 7am-3pmRotating SaturdaysHours: 37.5 hours per week, 30-minute unpaid lunch breakLocation: Brooklyn, NYSetting: Office-basedParking: Limited street parking; public transportation preferredOn-Call: Not requiredResponsibilities:The CASAC or LMSW will be responsible for:Conducting intake interviews, biopsychosocial assessments, and mental health screeningsFormulating and reviewing treatment plansConducting individual counseling sessions and facilitating therapeutic groupsReferring clients to community-based resources and coordinating careDocumenting and maintaining case records in an electronic health record systemQualifications:2+ years of clinical/case management experience in substance use disorder treatmentCASAC, CASAC-T (with plans for full licensure), or LMSWExperience working with the criminal justice population preferredStrong proficiency in treatment planning and biopsychosocial assessmentsAbility to work with electronic health record systemsStrong organizational and documentation skillsDesired Skills:Relevant personal experience in recovery and/or justice involvement is a plus
