Your Team ResponsibilitiesThe VP of Client & Market Research plays a critical role within MSCI's Client Insight & Analytics Function. The Client Insight & Analytics function is responsible for mining data and conducting research to inform strategic and operational business decisions for stakeholders across all functions of MSCI. This role is focused on executing primary research studies with clients & prospects, while integrating other datapoints and secondary research sources, to create actionable recommendations for stakeholders throughout the firm. This is a hands-on position that involves personally executing research, analyzing results and developing and delivering presentations.Your Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop a new and improved NPS program for MSCI, providing actionable recommendations to stakeholders in all functions and business lines.Develop a closed loop program of transactional surveys at specific client touchpoints to optimize specific areas of client experienceFurther develop brand monitoring researchSet the strategy for how market research techniques will be used across the product innovation cycle, from understanding client needs, to validating value proposition hypotheses, to UX testing and pricing setting studies. Partner with colleagues in product to embed the approach throughout the organization.Identify other areas where client & market research will add value and evangelize for its use.Act as a consultant and go to resource for any additional ad hoc research that may need to be conducted by stakeholders throughout the firm.Partner with others in the client insight & analytics function to merge market research insight with other sources of insight to create richer insights for stakeholders.Create documentation of clear market research guidelines and policies for MSCI.Identify trends across research studies to bring unanticipated insights with meaningful business implications.Continually stay up to date with the latest market research techniques and bring these ideas to inform our approach.Your skills and experience that will help you excelRequired Skills:Expert level knowledge of market research methodologiesExpert level experience in market research execution, including identifying sample, adhering to privacy policies, crafting survey vehicles, selecting & utilizing survey execution platforms, analyzing and communicating results.Significant experience with market research vendor selection & managementSignificant experience in the financial markets infrastructure industryStrong internal consulting skills, ability to develop and maintain relationships cross-functionally, listening to needs while offering proactive expert guidance.Strong analytical reasoning skills, ability to collate data from multiple sources into a coherent narrative with relevant business implications and specific business recommendations.Strong written, verbal and PPT communication skillsGrowth mindset with a willingness to try new approaches and challenge the status quoDesired Skills:Experience experimenting with Artificial Intelligence to improve the efficiency and quality of insight generationPower BI skills are a plus or willingness to learnAbout MSCIWhat we offer youSalary range: $176,000 - $229,000 /year plus eligible for annual bonus.Transparent compensation schemes and comprehensive employee benefits, tailored to your location, ensuring your financial security, health, and overall wellbeing.Flexible working arrangements, advanced technology, and collaborative workspaces.A culture of high performance and innovation where we experiment with new ideas and take responsibility for achieving results.A global network of talented colleagues, who inspire, support, and share their expertise to innovate and deliver for our clients.Global Orientation program to kickstart your journey, followed by access to our Learning@MSCI platform, LinkedIn Learning Pro and tailored learning opportunities for ongoing skills development.Multi-directional career paths that offer professional growth and development through new challenges, internal mobility and expanded roles.We actively nurture an environment that builds a sense of inclusion belonging and connection, including eight Employee Resource Groups.
