Senior System Engineer - Windows / Citrix

Our client, a growing fintech firm in Long Island, is looking for a System Engineer to join the team. You will collaborate with people across the globe, with local teammates in every office providing support and project implementations in a fast-paced environment.This role supports Windows & Citrix and works directly with users and management to plan and direct work across the Windows and Citrix environments.For this role, you will have a background in Microsoft Windows with experience in supporting, configuring, and installing Windows Servers. You will be experienced in using Powershell to automate tasks across large IT areas. You will be experienced in designing, building, and supporting Citrix Desktop Virtualization environments globally.Job requirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field10+ years experience in managing, administering, and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows 2012, 2016, 2019 and 2022Solid experience in design, implementation and support of Windows Active Directory, FSMO, DNS, replication, etc.Experience in deploying Citrix environments (on-prem, hybrid, cloud) from scratch or upgrading and/or migrating existing deployments (7.15/1912+)In-depth knowledge of implementing and supporting distributed Windows ADCSPrior experience implementing and supporting SAML/SSO deployments and integrations with Citrix.Experience with AD GPO and secure configurationsExperience with auditing of AD Windows environments and performing adjustments to security & configuration policiesDeep experience in administering and troubleshooting Citrix environments.Deep experience with Citrix architecture & design. Including ADC/NetScaler, Citrix ADM, WEM, XenApp, XenDesktop, High Availability, resiliency/redundancy, GSLB etc.A knowledge of scripting (PowerShell a plus) and performing tasks through automationExperience with monitoring and automation tools (ControlUp/PDQDeploy)Requirements:Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field5+ years experience working as a Windows and Citrix EngineerExperience in administering and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows 2012, 2019 and 2022Experience administering and troubleshooting Citrix environmentsExperience with multiple Windows Server Operating Systems including Windows Server 2012, 2019 & 2022.Knowledge of Salesforce, Fuze, Jira/Confluence would be a plusPluses:Knowledge of ITSM principles, ideally ITILv3 certifiedKnowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs and network routing principlesKnowledge of VMware virtualization platformsExperience with configuration management systems
