With a client-centric approach, we are dedicated to delivering exceptional, white-glove service to ensure tailored solutions for every client.About the jobWe're excited to continue solidifying that foundation, and we're looking for a Senior Account Manager to join our growing team in New York, NY!The Account Manager will handle a client portfolio and work with producers/sales professionals and teammates to service new and existing clients, help maintain positive client relationships, and provide high-quality service to assigned accounts, with a focus on the profitability of the business for the agency.How You Will ContributeBuild, expand, and solidify relationships with customers at all levels within the company and lead appropriate resources to address their needs, including risk identification and resolution of underwriting or policy issues.Process e-mails, for assigned accounts.Enter all required data into Applied EPIC and maintain current file data on all assigned accounts.Renewal marketing, including quoting, of assigned commercial lines risksPrepare and process binders of insurance, policies, endorsements, evidence of property insurance, and cancellationsMaintain suspense or follow-up system for correspondence and all transactions.Prepare agency-billed billings and/or invoices on a timely basis.Advice accounting of the appropriate posting of money received on assigned accounts.Assist in the collection of premiums as defined in the procedure manual.Develop and maintain working relationships with the various company underwriters.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the various carriers' rating plans and programs.Maintain knowledge of the carrier's coverageMaintain favorable relationships with customers, producers, and employees.Develop and maintain strong technical knowledge of commercial lines coverages and trends.Licenses and Certifications:Active Property & Casualty LicenseSkills & Experience to Be SuccessfulDeep understanding of commercial insurance sector with a focus on real estate, manufacturing, auto services, manufacturing, healthcare (technology would be a plus)Ability to work on complex accounts in the range of $50k - $250k in premium10+ years in a similar roleStrong negotiation and problem-solving skillsStrong organization and prioritizing skillsAbility to initiate and foster customer rapport.Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365Proficient with Applied EPICOur salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry and are one part of our total compensation package that also includes benefits and other perks.Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skill set, location, and business need.
