A health services network in New York City is currently seeking a new MRI Technologist to join their growing team.Responsibilities:Accurately interpret and follow physician orders, maintaining clarity and adhering to best practicesClearly explain procedures, contrast media, and any medications to patients, ensuring understanding and comfortReview patient history and MR safety assessments for a safe and high-quality imaging experiencePosition patients correctly and perform MR scans according to physician specificationsCommunicate with patients throughout the procedure to ensure comfort and minimize anxietyPrepare and administer contrast, insert IV catheters, and operate injectors as per protocolEvaluate scan images for quality, ensuring they are accurately labeled and documentedClean, maintain, and operate MRI equipment; collaborate with specialists as necessaryAssist in training and educating clinical staffWork closely with radiologists to develop and refine protocols and imaging techniquesPerform additional duties, as assignedQualifications:Active AMRIT certificationAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related fieldProven experience as an MRI Technologist with a solid understanding of MRI imaging principles and protocolsExperience with PACS systems and MRI equipmentBasic knowledge of anatomy, biology, and chemistry; ability to administer IVsStrong knowledge of MRI safety protocols, including magnet safety and contrast administrationExcellent communication skills for interacting with patients and the care teamOrganizational and mathematical skills for managing supplies, contrast, and inventoryStrong problem-solving and observational skills for troubleshooting equipment and ensuring image qualityProficiency with MRI equipment, G-suite, and health information systemsDesired Skills:Whole Body MRI experience Working knowledge of AMBRA and Siemens preferred
