We've achieved significant growth in only 10 years and are currently owned by a private equity firm.We are proud to be listed as #28 in Fortune Best Workplaces in Manufacturing & Production, and certified a Great Place to Work since 2022.Mission Microwave's headquarters are located at 6060 Phyllis Drive, Cypress, CA 90603.Summary:The AS9100 Quality Engineer is responsible for improving Mission's Quality Management System (QMS) and verifying compliance to AS9100 and prescribed procedures. The AS9100 Quality Engineer will plan, schedule, and perform system audits, and utilize audit and QMS data to recommend and lead continuous improvements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Ensure compliance to AS9100 QMS standards, Mission policies and procedures, and customer requirementsCorrect and prevent compliance non-conformance and drive continuous improvement to the management systemCoordinate and maintain internal audit schedules and audit checklistsMeasure and monitor QMS data and develop reports to leadership on compliance status and improvement initiativesProvide system training and guidance to Mission leadership and departmentsWorking in a team environment as well as individuallyProject work as neededQualifications:Minimum of 4 years of experience implementing management systems and auditing AS9100 Quality Management Systems standardsThorough knowledge of AS/ISO standards, specifically AS9100Strong technical writing and communication skills; must be able to describe problems and solutions in a clear, concise manner to all levels in the businessDependable, self-directed, self-disciplined, and possesses initiativeExcellent time management and multitasking skills; organized and detail orientedStrong problem solving and analytical skillsProficient user of Windows and Microsoft Office softwareEducation, Experience and/or Certifications:Bachelor's degree in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other engineering disciplineRegulated industry experience such as Aerospace / Avionics / SpaceMinimum of 4 years of direct experiencePhysical Demands, Working and Environmental Conditions:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
