The job entails a high level of responsibility and knowledge.This position will be responsible for directly managing 1-2 employeesRequired Education & Skills:Active PharmD or RPh licensure to practice in required StateAbility to provide professional advice on medications dispensed and sold over the counterAbility to provide effective medication use and become the people's trusted ally against health issuesExperience:2 years related pharmacy experience in Pharmacy ManagementExperience with the utilization of Patient Management System in the Pharmacy340B experience preferredEssentialJob Functions:Review and execute provider's prescriptions checking their appropriateness and legalityOrganize the pharmacy in an efficient manner to make the identification of products easier and fasterMaintain full control over medication inventory, stocking and labeling medicine and other products and monitor their condition to prevent expiring or deteriorationListen carefully to customers to interpret their needs and issues and offer information and advice.Prepare medicine when appropriate using correct dosages and material for each individual patientMaintain patient profiles and history of all activities regarding medications dispensedKeep abreast and stay current with HIPAA and Frauds Waste and Abuse credentialingComply with all applicable legal rules, regulations, and proceduresResponsible for ensuring that the Pharmacy and its employees are compliant with Federal, State and Local laws regulatedEnsures that the Pharmacy and its employees are aware and compliant with local facilities policiesResponsible for directing the daily work of Pharmacy Technicians, this includes providing input into performance evaluations and advising Senior Management of any behavioral and/or performance issues.Responsible for managing the Pharmacy Technicians schedules. This includes advising Senior Management of any request for leave of absences or medical accommodations.Other duties as necessaryPhysical Requirements:Standing and/or frequent walking for long periods of timeAbility to read, write, and hear effectively.
