If this sounds like an organization you would like to be a part of, we would love to meet you.The Director of Healthcare IT Development and Applications at Neighborhood Healthcare is responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and operational management of the organization's EMR, clinical and business applications, IT project management, application development, interface standards, and enterprise analytics. This role is critical in evaluating, selecting, and implementing emerging technologies that align with both current and future business objectives.Key responsibilities include leading the design, development, selection, and maintenance of clinical, administrative, and financial systems to support Neighborhood Healthcare's strategic goals. The Director will ensure that all technology solutions improve care delivery, enhance patient safety, and elevate customer service while driving continuous improvement in application performance and quality. This position also involves strong leadership in managing project teams, setting measurable quality standards, and ensuring all technology solutions meet the highest levels of functionality, reliability, and compliance.The Director will regularly report to the CIO and NHCare leadership on the status of the organization's application architecture, providing updates on key projects, ongoing initiatives, and overall IT system health. Additionally, the Director will foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure technology solutions meet organizational needs and exceed expectations. This is not a remote position. ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership and oversight to the IT team, fostering collaboration across cross-functional teams, offering guidance, coaching, and performance management to achieve departmental goals; manage recruiting, selection, and hiring processes to build a high-performing team, and address performance issues through coaching or progressive discipline as needed to ensure accountability and continuous improvement.Leads the development, design, planning, implementation, maintenance, and repair of clinical, administrative and financial systems to support Neighborhood Healthcare's Strategic Goals.Oversees the analysis of key systems and their workflows to ensure efficient processes and procedures and that those processes and procedures are documented through policies, procedures, standard operating procedures, workflow guides, etc.Ensure that all technology solutions improve care delivery, enhance patient safety, and elevate customer service while driving continuous improvement in application performance and quality.Lead various project teams, setting measurable quality standards, and ensuring all technology solutions meet the highest levels of functionality, reliability, and compliance.Provide regular updates to CIO and Neighborhood Leadership Team on the status of the organization's application architecture, providing updates on key projects, ongoing initiatives, and overall IT system health.QualificationsEducation/ExperienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Healthcare, business and technology management or equivalent experience.MPH/MBA degree and/or advanced continuing education in information systems trends and methodologies is preferred.Minimum of 10 years of experience in Healthcare IT, software development, systems administration.5 years of experience working at a senior-level, IT role within an organization.Demonstrated ability to effectively lead, motivate, and develop a high performing IT Team that has a desire to continually enhance and improve IT availability, performance and stability.Experience should also include exposure to both shared and outsourced solutions.Experience in implementing Information Systems.
